A Grant to Reward Commitment to Community Service
Are you committed to making your community a better place? Do you do more than just talk about helping others—have you been actively involved in organizations that strive to bring food, shelter, and safety to everyone? Have you given tirelessly to a food bank, a housing ministry, or an environmental organization? Have you helped educate your peers on the dangers of drinking and driving, volunteered at an animal shelter, planted trees, or participated in disaster, or given your time to another charitable organization. We would like to acknowledge your good deeds.
At The Pinnacle Financial Group, community service has always been a part of who we are. This year, with our annual scholarship program, we want to recognize an individual who has shown a selfless commitment to the betterment of his or her community.
The Pinnacle Financial Group Scholarship Contest
At The Pinnacle Financial Group, we regularly work with families to help plan for the costs of a college education. We have seen the rising costs, and we know the burden it can place on a family. We are proud to sponsor our annual essay contest, which is open to anyone who is currently enrolled as a full-time student at any university, college, or trade school throughout the United States, or who will be enrolled for the fall term in 2024.
The Focus of Your Essay
In 700-1,000 words, tell us about your involvement in community service:
· Briefly summarize where you’ve served and what you’ve done.
· Tell us why community service is so important to you and to your community.
· Explain how you believe it will have a positive impact on your community.
· Talk about any leadership roles you have assumed with the organization. Please submit your essay in digital form to us here. All essays must be received by June 15th, 2024. Our leadership team will then review all the submissions and select the two best essays. The winners will receive a scholarship award of $500, paid directly to the school you attend. The funds may be used for books, tuition, or supplies. The winning essays will also be posted on The Pinnacle Financial Group website.
The Pinnacle Financial Group College Scholarship Essay Contest Rules
To qualify for a scholarship, a contestant must:
· Include name and a valid email address in the upper left-hand corner of the first page of the essay.
· Submit the essay in Times New Roman font, 12-point type, with header and footer page numbers.
· Meet the length requirements stated above—no less than 700 words and no more than 1,000 words.
· Comply with all requirements of MLA formatting.
· Provide a valid student ID for the Fall 2024 semester, as well as a valid schedule of classes.
